Students at The Webber Independent School are celebrating yet another successful year of GCSE results across all subjects, with 98% of results for the Year 11 cohort achieving a GCSE grade 4 and above with 45% of those grades at 7-9s. These results are also the School’s second highest which is even more pleasing in a year when the national GCSE results trend has gone down and returned to pre 2019 levels.
After a very busy and emotional morning for students, staff and parents we say a final ‘goodbye’ to our wonderful young people as they head off to their post 16 first choice destinations of Sixth Forms, colleges and other exciting opportunities.
Mrs Marsden, Headmistress comments;
“I wish all our Year 11 leavers the very best on the next exciting stage of their life long learning journey and I look forward to hearing about their future achievements. We can honestly say this year again students, staff and parents have all worked exceptionally hard to achieve excellence together and we are all really proud.”
To add to this, we received a glowing review from our Head Girl, Lauren;
“Thank you so much for your support over the past 5 years. I have had such an incredible experience at webber that I will never forget. I have made the most of so many opportunities that I will be eternally grateful for. Thank you so much for having faith for me in being head girl over the past academic year.
I’m sorry I didn’t say this all earlier I was overwhelmed by receiving my results.
I just wanted to let you know that I have just been and enrolled at Ousedale! Next year I will be studying computer science, sociology and geography.
I hope that my time at Ousedale will be just as amazing as it was at Webber.”
Year 11 Parent Mrs Torley, has also sent us a heart warming review;
“Thank you for all your guidance and support in helping Zaw achieve the grades necessary to continue onto the next stage of his education.
We took a couple of photos should you wish to share.
Congratulations to you and the teachers on achieving great overall results too.”
Congratulations once again to all of our Year 11 Students.
