With fantastic results and a leading Senior School program, we take pride in providing an exceptional education for our students. You and your child are in good hands with us as they transition from junior school to Senior School.

A transition into Senior School allows young minds to explore new responsibilities, develop academic skills, and prepare for the rigorous study of their GCSE exams.

This is when our small class sizes are especially beneficial to our students. To enhance the National Curriculum, we offer extra-curricular activities such as clubs, societies, enrichment trips, and workshops. With a focus on collaboration, engagement, and down-to-earth learning environments, we provide a modern approach to private education.

How does The Webber support your child as they step into Senior School?

During the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 and Year 9 to Year 10, the Webber Team will work closely with students and parents in order to ensure a smooth transition. We’re also on hand at all stages to support their decision-making processes surrounding GCSE subject selection. In order to help focus our young people’s choices around their strengths and talents, we use psychometric assessment and one-on-one interviews to help guide them in their choice process.

In choosing The Webber Independent School for your child, you choose educators who will be with you every step of the way, providing support and personalised guidance.

With the help of our Work Related Learning Specialist Team, your child will be able to stand out from the crowd by gaining excellent life skills. This includes interview practice, work experience, preparing for a career pathway, and receiving a Headmistress’ Letter of Recommendation.

Subjects Offered at Senior School

We provide a wide range of GCSE subjects, and a track record of exceptional performance in high-achieving subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language, and English Literature.

Our programme also offers flexibility and is tailored to suit the abilities and talents of different students. For instance, some students may opt for an early entry GCSE Mathematics course (in Year 10), which provides them the opportunity to study Further Mathematics in Year 11 or another GCSE qualification in their first language.

The academic support we provide is unrivalled, and we are committed to putting the student’s education first.

Post 16

Taking those all-important next steps can be both exciting and nerve-wracking.

Through the right guidance, The Webber Independent School eases the transition from secondary school to higher education, career pathways and apprenticeships. We have supported our students in obtaining top career apprenticeships with leading employers and adapting smoothly to sixth form for their A Levels journey.

All of our Year 11 students have received multiple offers for sixth-form and post-16 destinations in the last four years. We could not be prouder of watching them flourish.
