Sporting Life at The Webber Independent School
We pride ourselves on the variety of sports and activities available to our students. All students have the opportunity to develop their skills on the competitive games field as well as participating in different sports throughout the year in their PE and Games lessons within a safe and supportive environment.
Facilitated by an encouraging, experienced and committed teaching staff, our PE activities offer something for everyone. Both our Prep and Senior School pupils play competitive matches against a wide range of schools in a number of different sports throughout the year.
In the Prep School, the boys play football, hockey, tag rugby, rounders and cricket while the girls focus on hockey, netball, tennis and rounders. In the Senior School, the major sports for girls are hockey, netball, tennis and rounders, and for boys are football, rugby, hockey, and cricket.
We also offer an array of other sports including: athletics, badminton, basketball, handball, climbing, gymnastics, yoga, table tennis, swimming, and Korfball. These activities are offered to pupils in various age groups during their PE lessons or within the extra-curricular programme.
