On Friday December 12th students and staff at The Webber Independent School will be putting on their warmest, wackiest and most wonderful festive woollies to raise money for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Children from the Nursery through to the Sixth Form will be joining hundreds of thousands of people in schools, offices and homes up and down the country as they sport a festive sweater for the day and donate £2 or more.
The money they raise will help save children’s lives around the world, from Syria to Liberia, Brazil to Bangladesh.
Principal Sue Vig said: “This is a really fun and festive way of raising funds for a fantastic cause. As well as donning our now very much in vogue Christmas jumpers, we shall be selling special Christmas recipe hot chocolate at break and lunch times to make our winter woolies even toastier, as well as raise extra money for Save the Children.”
